Company begins with E.W. (Al) Bassett (one man and a truck) servicing home refrigerators and light commercial units in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Al’s brother C.W. (Charlie) Bassett joins the business to run the service division. Bassett Mechanical begins ammonia refrigeration business and HVAC engineering capabilities.

Engineers join the team as Bassett Mechanical expands to include industrial refrigeration and heavy commercial HVAC design-build offerings.

Company acquires sheet metal business and adds sheet metal fabrication capabilities.

Bassett Mechanical transitions to second generation ownership and Bill Bassett named President.

Company launches plumbing segment.

Bassett Mechanical opens Service location in Madison, Wisconsin.

Company opens Service location in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Bassett Mechanical moves corporate HQ to 268,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Kaukauna, Wisconsin.

Bassett Mechanical achieves ISO certification, becoming the first mechanical contractor in Wisconsin to become ISO certified for the shop and field and one of only a handful of mechanical contractors in the United States to be certified.

Bassett begins company-wide Lean journey.

Company transitions to third-generation family ownership and Kim Bassett named President & CEO.

Company implements Behavior Based Safety program and Bassett Training Academy.

Bassett Mechanical opens service location in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Kim Bassett, previously our President and CEO, was named CEO and Executive Chairwoman. Jerod Steigenberger was named our new President.

Completed an office expansion of the company’s Kaukauna headquarters to better serve our customers and associates, bringing our total sq. ft. to over 290,000.
