Our approach to Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) reduces your project risk and is demonstrated through our Lean Principles, use of cutting-edge technology, and shared respect for each other’s collective expertise.

PROACTIVE PREPLANNING

Bassett Mechanical has practiced Lean methodology since 2006. As part of our Integrated Project Delivery, we use tools and concepts like waste elimination, gap identification, and project preplanning to engage key partners in a project timeline and execution plan before any onsite work is started. This thorough process helps us to work together with all trades, eliminates jobsite congestion and conflicts ahead of time, and reduces or eliminates any safety risks which are identified in advance. Our partners depend on us for this knowledge and ability to lead projects based on these value-adding principles.

VIRTUAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

Through the use of Virtual Design and Construction technology, we partner with project stakeholders to create a design solution that is safe and meets the customer’s specific needs and expectations. We work collaboratively with various contractors and suppliers to design a project with all the appropriate physical and mechanical elements within the same digital space. This process not only produces a highly efficient and accurate solution, but also allows us to work more closely with other partners each step of the way to ensure we are preventing any safety, accessibility, or project scheduling concerns before the work is done in the field. This approach also minimizes rework and downtime, allows us to be supportive of the many various project schedules, and ultimately provides the most accurate, cost-effective solution for the customer.

Our ability and capacity to prefabricate upwards of 75% of projects in our environmentally controlled 300,000 sq. ft. ISO:9001 facility allows our partners and suppliers the flexibility to manage much of their work onsite knowing our installation time can be reduced with this capability. Our open approach allows us to support the project in a way that strengthens the overall goals and initiatives and provides maximum value for our customers, partners, and suppliers.
